A Hike on Trinidad Head with Haya Kamal

I always remembered Jess as the flexible fit, fun, friendly guy with a head full of hair, but, I learned today that he lived a much fuller life than I thought. I still tell his story of his illness when he was in his 70s, and how he went on this vegetarian diet and regained his health and spunk.

Here are pictures of the hike we all did on Trinidad Head. I still remember this day clearly; I even remember that Jess ordered shrimp salad after the hike. I will always remember Jess as one of the inspiring personalities I met in my life.

NOTE: Haya is a Physical Therapist who is seeing the country while traveling to short-term and long-term job assignments. She met Jess at Eureka Physical Therapy in McKinleyville a few years ago and they became good friends. Shortly after this hike she moved on to another assignment.
